i am planning a test ride of your plugins : calendar pro + filter + aggregator
so i will import some events…

    1) if we decide that we don’t need payed functions, will all the inputted / imported events still be visible ?

    2) event plugins are compatible between them ? my client has already many old events created with 2 different event plugins (not sure which ones, i think one is time.ly)..
will calendar pro and filter correctly visualize ?

    3) are all calendar plugins compatible or most of them use separate “custom post” type ? and therefore don’t see each other ?

    4) is there a list / table to see difference between pro and free version

    5) how does the “last date occurrence” for infinite recurring events works ?
    for example for this event
    http://wpshindig.com/event/openhack-monthly-meetup/all/
why there are not events in 2019 ? 2020 ? will they be added automatically with time ?

    6) if i have license for a payed extensions and i decide to abandon one project and start another one, will i be able to deactivate license on old one and activate on new one ?

    7) is it possible to configure that all events auto imported from one page in FB are added to a pre-defined category ?

    Hi George,

Thanks for taking the time to reach out! It looks like you’ve got plenty of questions, so I’ll do my best to answer them here–let me know if I’ve overlooked anything, and I’ll be more than happy to loop back around for you. 🙂

    1. Should you choose to let your product subscriptions with us lapse, you’ll lose access to new feature releases, product updates and bug fixes, and our premium support help desk. However, you won’t lose any existing events or settings on your site. You can always choose to renew at a later date to regain access to our full suite of premium features.
    2. While we don’t offer any integrations with competing event plugins at this time, we do offer plenty of import options for bringing events from external platforms into The Events Calendar. Our free version of The Events Calendar includes support for CSV-based imports; with Event Aggregator, you can add on import functionality for Facebook, iCalendar, Google Calendar, and more. You can learn more about the features available with Event Aggregator on its product page here: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/event-aggregator/
    3. The Events Calendar makes use of its own custom post type (tribe_events) and cannot display events created using other plugins or post types.
    4. Absolutely! You can check out our premium product pages to see a feature breakdown between each plugin and its free counterpart. Here’s the Events Calendar PRO product page to get you started: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/
    5. Great question! To prevent database overload when creating massive numbers of events, Events Calendar PRO limits the creation of events to a certain period of time from the current date. As time passes, new events will be created and appended to your calendar. For more information on this functionality and how to configure it, you can refer to our Knowledgebase article on recurring events: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-recurring-events/
    6. Yes, licenses can be easily moved from one WordPress site to another as needed. Check out our Knowledgebase article on moving license keys for the full details. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-your-license-keys/
    7. Yes, you can choose a category to be added to your events when creating a new import with Event Aggregator. Our Knowledgebase article on importing with Event Aggregator provides more information on how to set this up! https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/import-from-feed-or-url/

I hope that helps to get you started here! 🙂 Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
    The Events Calendar Support Team
