GuestHello,
I am setting up a wordpress site in which I intend to use woocommerce for the ecommerce. Memberpress or Woomembers for the membership. I need an event registration software that would work with the membership plugin. I also use Thrive themes.
My questions is whether The Events Calendar Plus is compatible with these.
Thank you.January 25, 2018 at 11:00 am #1436185Victor
MemberHola Nico!
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I’m not really familiar with the Memberpress plugin, but I do know some sites use WooCommerce Memberships alongside our plugins.
That said, we work hard to make our plugins broadly compatible. However, we cannot test with every plugin, theme, and server environment out there, so sometimes “conflicts” can occur. When this happens, the first thing that we suggest to do is go through our Testing for Conflicts guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/.
Additionally, here’s a good article about plugin compatibility with WooCommerce extensions > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/compatibility-with-woocommerce-extensions/
As a reference, let me share this blog post > https://theeventscalendar.com/compatible-themes-the-events-calendar/. While it’s not so recent, it’s a great article that will get you started when considering a theme to work with our plugins.
I hope that helps. Let me know if any follow up questions 🙂

GuestHow do we charge for events? through woocommerce? or directly through Events Calendar?

GuestOne more question. A lot of my events are members only – I decided to use memberpress for the membership – and I wonder how can I set up events that only members can sign up for. In other words, can I create events available only to current members?

MemberHi Nico!
Thanks for following up with this.
First, let me apologise for the delay in getting back to you. We’ve been out on our annual team trip and we are slowly getting back to normal response times.
To charge for your events, you need either WooCommerce or EDD (Easy Digital Downloads plugin) alongside with Event Tickets Plus.
If you use WooCommerce, when creating a ticket for an event, Event Tickets Plus will create a WooCommerce product linked to the ticket. All ticket sales are handled by the eCommerce platform of your choice.
As for the members only events, this is not a built-in functionality, but let me point you to the following article that explains how you can create a Members only calendar > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/making-members-calendar/
I hope it helps. Let me know if any follow up questions.
