Second page of events ordered wrong in list mode

Hi,

Have been using your plugin for a while and all been fairly smooth, have had a bug reported by the client this week where clicking next to view more events in the list view will display events in the wrong order, jumping between months in the list, the first page of event seem to be fine, photo view is also displayed out of order.

Any assistance would be appreciated,

Fist of all, Can you please follow the steps described in our Testing for conflicts guide? This way we can see if this is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins. I was able to see this in the your site…

Hi Nico,

Followed the conflicts guide and found a conflict with another plugin, the plugins were:

Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order
Post Types Order

These treated the events as posts (are they coded as an extension of the post class out of interest?) so were overriding the natural order when the request for the second page was submitted, disabling these has fixed the issue, and they are not used anywhere in the site enough to worry about just removing them, thanks for the help, marking this as resolved.

are they coded as an extension of the post class out of interest?

Events are custom post types, which in a sense is like an extension of built-in posts. You can read more about it here: Plugin Handbook > Custom Post Types.

Regarding the custom order plugins, I’m mostly sure that there’s at least one that let’s you choose which Post types (events, posts, pages, etc) are affected by the plugin. You cna give that an extra try if you need those.
