ParticipantHow do I schedule recurring events that happens monthly, such as meetings that are scheduled on several days the first FULL week of the month. So a meeting that occurs on a Thursday, that follows the first Sunday of the month, not necessarily the first Thursday. If I just say the first Thursday, that doesn’t always work and then I have to adjust a bunch of meetings. I don’t see where I can schedule something the first Thursday THAT FOLLOWS the first Sunday. I have 14 meetings that happen in this first FULL week, recur monthly, so it’s time consuming to have to change them.

MemberGood evening Kristy and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. This is a great question. In short you would need more complex custom recurrence rules (with the ability to add a condition on certain rules) to accomplish what you are looking for.
Unfortunately, this feature is not available, nor have I seen it on our roadmap for the moment. But I strongly suggest you add it here https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas as a feature request.
In the meantime, you have a couple of workaround available:
You could:
- Add a few exceptions to the monthly rule for the months were your “after the first sunday of the month” rule does not work
- Modify them manually (like you have been doing)
- Add specific dates for the recurrence using our interface
I realize either of these will still result in the additional work you are looking to avoid.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.As an alternative, you might want to inquire with one of our recommended customizers to see if they could do this customization for you.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

ParticipantSo I got this response: It sounds like this is alreayd possible using our multiple recurrence patterns feature, perhaps in combination with the exclusion pattern. Please reach out to us via the forums if you need assistance with using these, we would love to help!
Cheers!
– The Modern Tribe Support TeamNothing in forums on this, if I exclude a date it skips the entire month. I need to schedule 14 meetings the first Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday that occur AFTER the first Monday.

MemberGood evening Kristy,
Thank you for your answer.
I believe you have received this answer via our email address if I am not mistaking.I am sorry about the confusing messages you are receiving for the support on this topic.
Unfortunately our current recurrence rules cannot, out-of-the-box handle the “after the first Sunday” part of your requirement.
As I said before, I do wish I had a better answer for you, but it seems like your options for now are:
- To have a customizer add this feature for you
- To post a feature request
- Use an alternate method to obtain your specific recurrence rules such as importing your events from another source (CSV, XML, iCal, gCal)
- Use an imperfect recurrence rule for each of these 14 events like the one of the following screenshot and add exceptions

Best regards,
Geoff B.
