    It would seem and as described we should be able to schedule a ticket/RSVP to be available on a certain date and a certain time and do the same to end the ticket. This works unless we add a second ticket or RSVP to the same event. Then the second ticket/RSVP start/end is ignored.

    Our use, where the problem is discovered for us.

    * We have a ticket (paid) that has started and ends the day before our event at noon.
    * We also added a RSVP (to be not paid) that starts the day of the event and ends at 4 pm the same day of the event.

    However, rather than waiting to publish the RSVP on the day before it starts showing it upon publish/update of the event. Then in the pricing to buy the ticket it shows Free-$8. It shouldn’t show free because it’s not free. It should wait to make the RSVP information public when it is set to go public.

    Hi Kevin,

    Thanks for reaching out! The price range that is displayed on the front end automatically uses the cheapest priced ticket for the minimum and the highest for the maximum – since RSVPs are inherently free (these ticket types cannot be sold), “free” will show up as the minimum in the range. If you would like to change this, you could do so with a customization (see our themer’s guide for more info on customizing our plugins).

    You are correct that you should be able to add two separate tickets with different start and end times, and they should not show up on the front end outside of those times. I tested this out on my end, and I got the same thing as you…the RSVP was showing up before the start sale date. I logged this in our system for our developers to look into, and I linked this thread to our internal ticket. As soon as we have an update, we’ll let you know here. I’m very sorry for the inconvenience, but please let me know if you have any questions in the meantime.

    Thank you for the response. Do you have any update on the bug fix – ticket showing up before it should on schedule?

    I’m between a rock and a hard place because of the bug and the inherent, RSVP routine.

    We have a ticket that people pay for on the site up until the day before the event. However, the day of the event, people will pay us cash at the door, but we still want them to register on the website for records of the event. That’s why we want either a FREE ticket or an RSVP that only runs the day of the event. With the bug we can’t pre-schedule a separate event that is Free or an RSVP as it shows up before it should. If I use the existing event and have an RSVP option, by nature of the plug-in its shows up when it should, BUT still shows FREE always.

    I’m not sure what to do.

    I found a workaround, not ideal, but it will work until the problem gets fixed. I just created a separate new ticket that is an RSVP for the event. The ticket/RSVP scheduling didn’t work, it still listed it right away. HOWEVER, I used the WordPress native post scheduling and scheduled the post to go live when we need. The test for this worked.

    Hi Kevin,

    I’m glad you were able to find a workaround for this in the meantime! We just released Event Tickets 4.6.3. Can you try updating and see if this is resolved? If you don’t see a prompt to update in the Plugins section, you can do so manually by following these instructions. You’ll want to also update The Events Calendar (current version is 4.6.9).

    I tested it out on my end, and the start/end dates were working as expected. Please let me know if you’re getting the same thing!
