Scanning QR Codes for attendee check in.

I cannot find any documentation for step by step using qr codes. Is there a place that takes someone step by step on how to use the qr codes?

I’ve tried scanning one ticket for checkin with a qr reader on a mobile device and it only send me to the event URL.

1. what qr reader should I use?
2. How do we link it to the database of registrants? Should this be plugged into or somehow logged into my wp site?

right now it I’ve only found documentation to use a qr reader but nothing more.

Cliff that link does not have answers to either of my questions.

When I scan QR codes for events all it does is take me to the homepage of my site. If that is a successful response to check in please explain. Multiple people have asked this question in the knowledge base and they don’t seem to get a very clear answer either.
