Anthony
ParticipantHello,
This has always worked in the past, but now when I try to create a custom, weekly rule creating multiple occurrences of an event on the same day it’s not generating the second occurrence. Screenshots below.
I saw the thread on this from December claiming that the bug was fixed, so not sure what’s up.

ParticipantHey @Anthony,
Thanks for reaching out.
Can you share a link to the thread from December that you are referring to? I will check that out and see what’s going on here.
Now, for the record, thank you so much for sharing your event-setup screenshot.
The screenshot reveals that the recurrence configuration for your events is invalid, which I think is the main problem here [though, please do share the thread from December! I will investigate potential bugs here].
For example, your event in the screenshot is on March 5 2016 from 2pm-3pm.
In your recurrence rules, you set the event up to recur monthly, and then weekly, but only until March 6 2016, which is one day after the event itself. Something cannot recur monthly in the span of one day from March 5 to 6, nor weekly, and so the rules do not work.
So, if your event is March 5, and then you have it set to recur monthly, you would need the “End On” date to be at least one full month away from March 5. If recurring weekly, then the “End On” date needs to be at least one full week away from March 5.
I hope this information is clear and helps – let me know!
Thanks,

ParticipantLink first:
Bug: Recurring events on the same day don’t have seperate pages
Can you clarify the rules I should be setting for this situation:
Event occurs on:
3/5/16 2pm-4pm
3/5/16 7:30pm-9:30pm
3/6/16 2pm-4pmAs of now, the 7:30pm is not generating.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Anthony,
Thanks for this information. I will investigate to see if this bug is still happening; at this time, it may still unfortunately not be possible to have recurring events on the same day in the same series.
For your events above, for the time being, I would recommend having the 2pm-4pm events be part of a recurring series together; then, the 7:30pm-9:30pm can be created separately as its own standalone event. If you want to make sure that people in the 2pm-4pm events can see links to the 7:30pm-9:30pm event, I would recommend manually adding text at the top or bottom of the event saying “Note: we also have an event at 3/5 at 7:30pm-9:30pm, click here to learn more.”, with the “click here” being a link to the 7:30-9:30 event of course…
I’m really sorry about this situation, I know that it would be ideal to have all three events in one series together. But there seems to still a bug preventing this and I have no ETA on when a bugfix will arrive, which could be weeks from now, so I would recommend the simple manual solution above for the time being.
I’m sorry about this Anthony! Let me know what you think and if you have any more comments, questions, or concerns.
Sincerely,
GeorgeFebruary 19, 2016 at 8:35 am #1078203Support Droid
