ParticipantHello!
I went with community events for the forum here because community submissions are at the root of the problem I’m looking to solve, but it would actually apply to the calendar in general. I found some threads on adding revision support for the calendar and was able to make that happen. As the administrator of our community calendar notes, when a user makes an edit, it’s not obvious what was changed. As the WP Codex notes, “By default, WP keeps track of the changes to title, author, content, excerpt.” Meanwhile, most of the calendar consists of additional info – date, venue, organizer, etc. I don’t see much on the web about tracking revisions for the non-default fields. Is this something you’ve run across?
Even if it were possible to know a particular field had been changed, rather than specifically how, that would make things a little easier for the administrator.
If not, it occurred to me that perhaps I could add an “additional field” asking for a description of the changes to be made that would show ONLY if the post was being revised… another thing I’m not sure how to do!

MemberHi William.
Thanks for your thorough request. This sounds like a valuable (although potentially complex) enhancement.
Unfortunately, I’m not able to provide you with a code snippet to pull something like this off.
I would encourage you to search for or add a new feature request at our plugins’ UserVoice page.
This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.
Once you post it, feel free to link to it from here in case anyone comes across this forum thread in the future.
If you really do need this feature sooner than we can deliver it and need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our list of known customizers.
Thank you.
