retrieving event summary field within widget list plugin

Hi Guys,
I need to know if I can include an event summary within listwidget.php. I want my list of upcoming events to include the summary as well as the title? I cannot see any function that pulls this in? I image it to be something like
<?php echo tribe_get_summary(); ?>

Hi – anything is possible and this should be fairly straightforward 🙂
