ParticipantHelloI When accessing my Events Calendar as I usually do, I noticed this message at the top of the screen:
It looks like you’re using The Events Calendar PRO, but the license key you supplied does not appear to be valid or is missing. Please review and fix so that you can always have access to our latest versions! You can find your license keys by logging in to your account on theeventscalendar.com and you can enter them over on the settings page.
I considered that since we updated our website over the weekend (which should not have involved the website that this is featured on, but one never knows…), so I followed the instructions and the received this message when I entered the key as directed:
There is new version of The Events Calendar PRO available but your license key is out of installs. Visit the Events Calendar website to manage your installs, upgrade your license, or purchase a new one.
What’s up?

MemberHi Kelly. Sorry you’re experiencing these issues.
I’d suggest starting by updating TEC PRO
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- Your License Keys –> to be copied/pasted to wp-admin > Events > Settings > Licenses tab (you might need to unassign/reassign it but that would be out of the ordinary)
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

ParticipantI will try this and get back to you. Oddly, I never got an email notification that you replied to my question, either. This is not normal.

ParticipantYes, I did get your reply this time. My developer said that he got the message that the key was out of installs as well. I am going to check back with him to see if he followed your directions.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
