ParticipantI’ve purchased Event Tickets Plus, but I disabled it because I don’t need it’s features. However in the free Event Tickets there is still mentioning of an Attendee List. I’ve never personally seen it, but that doesn’t mean that web crawlers won’t find it. So I’d like to completely eliminate the creation of it by finding the php file that produces it and templating it with no code in the template. I found the php to remove the question whether the person wants to be in the list, but I can’t find the php that creates the Attendee List. I’d like to completely remove this list so no personal information gets out. I found this forum: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/remove-the-public-attendee-list-entirely/
discussing this issue and it points to a file /wp-content/plugins/event-tickets-plus/src/Tribe/Attendees_List.php
Is there a corresponding file in the free Event Tickets plugin?October 6, 2016 at 11:14 am #1173430Shelby
ParticipantHey Jeff,
Welcome back to our forums! Happy to help you with your attendee list concerns.
I noticed you said “However in the free Event Tickets there is still mentioning of an Attendee List.” Just to clarify, are you referencing the front end “Who’s Attending” or the back end, “Attendees” list? The latter is only accessible by those with admin credentials, and web crawler access would not be a concern.
If this is not what you mean, could you give me some specific direction on where you saw the attendees list referenced (include a link to the page and/or a screenshot if possible)? It would also be helpful to get some more detail on how you’re using the plugin, so I can better assist you.
I hope this helps, but if you have follow up questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
Cheers,
Shelby 🙂

ParticipantI’m just being cautious here because I don’t want attendees emails scanned by robots. An example event is here: http://a82.dd7.myftpupload.com/event/basic-advanced-endonasal-cranial-correction-seminar-chicago-illinois
When you add a ticket the part opens up about Not listing on the Public List. I found where to remove this code so that’s not the concern and I will remove it after I hear back from you. But since I’m not going to allow people to see this part, and therefore check the box that they don’t want to be on a public list, I was concerned that they would be automatically added to this mysterious public list for the world to see.
I’ve modified the template files to a moderate degree and probably removed this public list anyway. You’ll see by going back to All Events how much I’ve changed the code through templates. I realize there’s the administrator only available list which no one can see.
So since I never saw this public list in the first place I’m just making sure it isn’t showing someplace else where webbots could find the list.
Do you think I’m good to go?

ParticipantHey Jeff,
I see what you’re saying. That option should only be present if you’re running Event Tickets Plus. Can you deactivate it and delete it for me? Then there should be nothing for the site to reference regarding a public attendees list.
Let me know how that goes, and if you need follow up support for this issue!

ParticipantWell I purchased Event Tickets Plus as well, but it is deactivated. I don’t need the purchasing ability anymore since I’m doing our seminars in the store directly without ticketing since there are so many options for pricing.
So are you saying the whole Attendee list thing is just an Event Tickets Plus thing? Could I have copied a file and then templated it from the Events Tickets Plus and that’s why this option is showing up for me? I did play around a long time before I decided not to use it. Maybe that’s why I have the code. Possible?

ParticipantJeff,
Yes, the attendees list is an Events Tickets Plus feature. If you created the event in question with Plus activated, it could still be pulling that code perhaps. (It shouldn’t, but that’s the only reasonable explanation.) That’s why I suggest you delete plus all together, so that there’s nothing for it to reference regarding an attendee’s list. Please delete the plugin and let me know if it solves the issue.
Thanks!
Shelby

ParticipantThe problem is resolved. Kind of confusing because tickets pro doesn’t seem to have the rsvp.php file, but you might be correct, that I copied the template while having tickets pro activated. Don’t know, but I copied the latest rsvp.php from tickets basic and works great. Thanks
