Remove future recurring events — what's the best method?

Our client uses recurring events with Events Calendar PRO but whenever she edits them, she ends up with errors, stray events, and other problems. Her current issue involves changing the end date of an event series from Sept 30, 2017 to June 14, 2017 (effectively deleting events scheduled after Jun 14). She wants to know the best way to do this herself, which is why I’m asking you.

To simplify the question: Should we just go to the June 14 occurence, edit all, and change the end date? Will this safely delete events in that series after June 14? If not, what’s the best way to accomplish this goal?

Recurring events have been a struggle for our client and a bit of a time suck for us to clean up. She’s slowly losing patience…..
