Hey everyone and happy Wednesday! We have released a minor update to our premium WooCommerce Tickets add-on for The Events Calendar and wanted to let you know about it.
WooCommerce Tickets 3.12.1 adds support for the brand-new premium Community Tickets plugin that also released today. In fact, you will notice no functional difference in WooCommerce Tickets if you are upgrading from 3.12.
A popular feature request has been to provide a way to connect our Community Events and WooCommerce Tickets plugins together. In other words, a way to allow people to not inly submit events to The Events Calendar from the front-end of the site, but a way to create and sell tickets for those events as well. That’s now a possibility when updating to WooCommerce Tickets 3.12.1 and adding both Community Tickets and WooCommerce Tickets to the mix. The three, when used together, will create that event submission and ticket selling powerhouse that many have been looking for!
We expect smooth sailing and no breakages if you’re upgrading from WooCommerce Tickets 3.12 or greater. However, if you’re upgrading from 3.11 or earlier, please do read through the release notes for the versions that have come out since and make sure to test the updates in a development environment before using on a live site—especially if you have made any customizations to the plugin. And, as always, back up your files and database as you would with any other WordPress update.
