ModeratorRob, the Alarm plugin is already fixed. Simple and I really did see 2.0.8 in the Help tab. It now correctly reports 2.0.9 as latest version. One other thing. Everyone, Tribe is great at customer support and IMHO it will be easier to fix your specific issues if you open up a new discussion. All I was trying to do in my post was comment on things that I found changed from version to version. I wasn’t looking for support on any of these issues, at least not in this thread. Just trying for some helpful advice. 😉

ParticipantHi,
As others have already pointed out, all settings seems to get lost when update. Additional Fields settings was also lost.I used to have four additional fields. So I have added these again. These were:
Max Capacity = Text
Open Event = Checkbox = Yes
Register by = Text
Fee Note = TextBut the values are all messed up now.
Max Capacity => now has value which was in the field Register by
Open Event => now has value which was in the field Fee Note
Register by => now has value which was in the field Register by
Fee Note => this seems to be blankI should have used back-up to restore the setting, perhaps. I have only about 10 event entries, so it’s going to be easier and quicker to manually fix them. I am not sure if this is another bug or not, but I am little unhappy that this happened on first time I have updated ECP on our live site.
Thanks.September 26, 2012 at 8:13 am #25743Rob
MemberHi again all. To follow-up on these points:
*Toru:* Thanks for reporting this. Yes, the settings update and the additional fields issue are byproducts of some bad code we introduced during the 2.0.9 dev cycle. This is unfortunately and something we’ve stripped out for the next release, once users brought it to our attention, so it won’t be a problem going forward. While the arrival of bugs is an unfortunate but necessary byproduct of the development cycle, we realize this is an inconvenience and apologize on that end. You will definitely want to ALWAYS back up your site before updating any plugin, regardless of how minor, but know that with the next release you won’t have to worry about settings, etc getting lost.
*Andy:* I’m with you there, man. Past a certain point, folks, please open new threads if you think your issue will warrant any discussion beyond a single response.
*David:* Thanks for the clarification, that does make sense. Looking in our projects system I see we have this as a high priority issue for the next release (it was planned for 2.0.9 but we couldn’t track down the source of the issue by launch date); so know that relief is in store on that end. Thanks for your patience so far there.
Let me know if anyone has any other points, and I’ll follow-up to get you what you need. Thanks again for your support.

ParticipantHi Rob,
I just updated the plugin (as well as the Events Calendar) and now have an alignnment problem – that my sidebar has dropped down below the main content when it should be floating to the right (please see http://calendar.theglobalyogi.com/event/soul-connection-retreat-yoga-nature-discovery-in-costa-rica/)
It seems that the code is no longer recognising the below (in my style sheet)
.tribe-events-events .tribe-events-event-entry {
position:relative;
width:60%;Any help appreciated.
ThanksSeptember 27, 2012 at 6:30 pm #25840Michelle
ParticipantHi Again,
This problem is now fixed – I selected the default events template for my EC settings and this fixed it 🙂

ParticipantI have updated Events Calendar to 2.0.9. I tried to update Events Calendar Pro to 2.0.9 but when I do, nothing happens. This happend during the last update too. When I look at the Dashboard, and on the plugins page, and on the Events Calendar Pro Licences page, I get this message: “The following plugins are out of date: Events Calendar PRO 2.0.8. Please update now. All add-ons contain dependencies on The Events Calendar and will not function properly unless paired with the right version. Want to pair an older version?” If I click “Update” on any of those pages, I get a message that says: “The plugin is at the latest version.” How do I update? A side note: if I look at my Licenses page, I see this message next to my key that says, “This key is out of installs.” (although my account is current). Thanks!

MemberHi Modern Tribe team,
I tried to update my Events Calender Plugin from version 2.0.7 because of the following problem with comments on recurring events: the generated link in the latest comments widget looks on …/postname/1970-01-01#comment-… and this page cannot be displayed because the events date is not 1.1.1970.
After the update to 2.0.8: New comments have the correct link now. Old comments are displayed with the false link as before.
After the update to the latest version 2.0.9: Also old comments are displayed correct now. But the comment form is not visible any more on the event post! What’s wrong here?
Kind Regards,
AlexNovember 8, 2012 at 12:28 pm #27719Wendell
ParticipantI set the country default to United States. Sometimes it works and sometimes defaults back to blank for country. I can I either get rid of the country prompt or fix the default setting?

MemberHi Alexis, Alexander and Wendell: sorry your questions got missed – I am however going to close this thread now as we are on version 2.0.10 now … if you have further issues with that version please create new threads describing your individual problems and issues and I or another team member will be only too happy to help.
Thanks!
