Hi, I use the related posts feature.

I found a little bug, if one entry not belongs to the others.

Sample: event with 2 following dates and category x, second event only with category x.

the related link of event 2 shows to event 1.

Do you know what i mean?

Hi there, Paul–thanks for reaching out!

I’m having a bit of tough time following what you mean here. If I understand correctly, you have instances where the links in your Related Events section are linking to incorrect events posts. Is that correct?

First off, please try these troubleshooting steps to see if there is a conflict with your theme or one of the installed plugins.

Secondly, are you running the latest version of The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar PRO? We’re currently at version 3.9.1. Please check and make sure both are running the same version.

Next, if links targeting incorrect events, it’s possible there is some issue with caching. Are you using a caching plugin by chance and are you able to clear it? What happens if you clear the cache, delete the events where the issue is coming coming up, and publish new events in their place? Does the issue happen then?

Also, if you can share a link where I can see the issue, that might help me troubleshoot this further with you.

Let’s give these a shot and go from there. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi Geoff, you understand correctly.

There is currently no online version to show you my problem, so i took an screenshot (https://www.dropbox.com/s/m6ve9cwtbjama4j/scribble.png?dl=0)

I checked my versions, both are 3.9.1, cache is disabled, theme is default, wordpress Version: 4.1.

On my screenshot you see 3 events, first and second are related events, the last one is a single event.
Name and date are correct but the link “Recurring Event (See all)” shows to the first event.

I hope now you better understood my issue.

    Thanks!

    Hi Paul–thanks for following up!

Now I follow you. The “See All” link for the third event in your screenshot should not be displaying at all because it is not a recurring event and, when you click it, it goes to the See All link for the other events. Thanks for clarifying!

That is a known bug that we have marked in our system. There is a workaround you can try while we’re working on a fix, but I’m afraid that’s the best we can do at the moment. Try the solution suggested in this thread and see if it helps.

    Cheers!
