ParticipantHey Allan,
I appreciate your patience here, and apologize for the delayed reply over the weekend.
I kept failing to reproduce your issues and so I reached out to some developers on our team to take a closer look here โย it turns out that we actually uncovered this bug a little bit before you posted your thread here, and we are racing to get this fixed for the maintenance release which we are planning to release this week.
The gist of the problem is that, in some cases, our recurrence rules will lead to some arithmetic being done in a variable of the “array” type, which produces this error. We are reworking the code to prevent this from happening and hopefully will have this published before the end of this week.
Let me know if this information is helpful!
Thank you,

Participantabsolutely amazing
I’m glad to hear that this WAS a bug and feel a little proud that I was able to help somewhat in identifying it.
Once these get sorted, I hope it possible to get the recurring rules to accomodate three or four events in a year. Once thats set, I will be happy to pay for such a great plugin and amazing service!A

ParticipantAllan โย your issue here definitely helped, and both your contribution there and your patience with us are supremely appreciated ๐
Once these get sorted, I hope it possible to get the recurring rules to accomodate three or four events in a year.
That’s indeed the goal, and as long as we fix this bug this should be possible.
Stay tuned Allan, thanks so much for your patience! I’ll post when the new Release is ready for download!
Gratefully,

ParticipantAnother small note you could pass along to the devs
When using the recurrence rules, once I add one, I can’t seem to remove it. What would happen in the case where a user wants to remove one of say, seven (lol) that they’ve created?
On that note, I’m wondering if in this process of this testing has somehow left a residual wrench in the works..
Thanks again! A

ParticipantHey Allan โ thanks for this note! You should be able to remove a recurrence rule by changing it back to “Once”, and then “Saving” or “Updating” the event itself.
That would then remove the rule; although sometimes even this doesn’t work, which is yet another bug we have fixed in the forthcoming maintenance release! ๐

ParticipantYes, it doesnt seem to have an effect when I follow your instructions. I just wanted to confirm that there wasn’t some sort of residual info in the post that was somehow affecting the way those got displayed.
I guess I’ll need to wait until that release comes out with the fix. Thanks so much and I hope we can get this settled soon. Thanks very much (to you and your fellow staff) for all your hard work and suppport!September 23, 2015 at 8:06 am #1007872George
ParticipantThanks for checking that out Allan โ I personally helped QA a fix for this in the forthcoming maintenance release, so doing those steps once this release is active should properly “remove” the unused recurrence rules and keep things clean.
Thank you for your patience here โย the update may be published as soon as today (Wednesday), so stay tuned!
Cheers,

ParticipantI’ve updated the pro & event calendar plugin.
Everything *looks* alright, but I’ll need to do some more thorough testing to ensure the recurring events work. Hope it works out!
With thanks, Allan
