Hi, is there a way to create a recurring event, show ONLY the first occurrence and hide the rest but STILL BE ABLE TO SEARCH FOR ALL RECURRING DATES?

For instance, we have classes scheduled, but we want to show the first occurrence of the class, and not the rest in the series (because it is a weekly event), but we want users to still be able to search for the event to see the dates on the monthly calendar view.

We’ve clicked on the “Hide all recurring events” and this solves the cluttering, but say the class is offered on May 1st, but we wanted to see if there was a class offered May 8th and searched for it. Even though the event was created with recurring weeks and we hide the details, we cannot search for it and it doesn’t pop up because “Hide all recurring events” has been selected. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Mark,

    Welcome back 🙂

Do all events show up in search results after reviewing our Testing for conflicts guide?

I just hid all recurring events from displaying on the front end on my test site, but was still able to locate events other than the first in the series.

Let me know and we’ll take it from there. Enjoy your upcoming weekend!
