Recurring events problems

Hi all!

First of all thanks for the great Events Calendar plugin. I’ve used both the free and paid version on several sites. A client of mine is experiencing problems since they started with recurring events with no end date.
They made two weekly events with a result of 111000+ events (see screenshot) in the future. This is leading to several performance issues.

– I tried to solve this by changing the end date but this has no effect.
– Also i see a lot of duplicate dates in the overview (see screenshot: 7 augustus).
– At this moment the front end is not loading (probably due to the massive amount of events).

Welcome and thank you for the kind words! I would be happy to help assist. I’ve included a plugin at the end of this response which helps clean up the duplicate recurring events. It will appear in your WP Admin > Tools after you’ve installed and activated it.

I notice you’re running outdated versions of our plugins. Can you please update to the latest versions released and review the Testing for conflicts guide to see if you can reproduce the issue?

I recall a bug similar to what you’ve described, but I believe it was recently addressed in a maintenance release. Please keep me updated on the status of your issue and have a great evening. Cheers!
