Recurring Events not showing in widget

Just updated to the latest version and the recurring events are not showing in the Event List widget. When I visit the page it says “There are no upcoming events at this time.” even if I check the “Hide this widget if there are no upcoming events” box in Appearance->Widgets.

Hello,

After reverting back to 2015 theme the widget is now working. The website is running an older version of Divi theme by ElegantThemes. Any ideas why it’s not working?

☝️ This fact here means that the ElegantThemes theme is the source of the problem. I would recommend reaching out to their support team for further assistance regarding what Divi might be doing on your site to break the widget.
