ParticipantI think we might have an issue with recurring events not being created. Still trying to figure it out.
We have a lot of indefinitely recurring events and it’s set to create events three months in advance. Question: When is that event creation supposed to automatically occur? For example, let’s say I create an event now that occurs every Monday indefinitely, it will generate events up to October 30 (or whatever the cutoff is). By this time next week, should it have generated an event for November 6? Or does that happen later?
We have some indefinitely recurring events with instances created only through this week and some upcoming weeks. When editing the series, if we hit “update” it then creates instances for three months ahead. That’s a problem right? Should be happening naturally?
Useful info: We haven’t updated since May (4.4.6 on Pro), when one of the updates required me to redo some customizations. Just haven’t had time. It’s a labor-intensive time of the week for the calendar inputting team so I can’t really do that for a few days. In the mean time it would be great to fix this to ensure we’re not missing anything this coming week. Thanks!

There’s a setting at wp-admin > Events > Settings > General tab > “Create recurring events in advance for”
Please check if things are working as expected based on that setting.
As far as any bugs go regarding recurring events, there have definitely been fixes released since then and we can only provide support when using the latest version of our products.
Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
