Hi there- since the last update recurring events are no longer working properly. I have tried the settings > permalinks refresh and it is still happening. Have a look here

I have had to re add some events so that some are appearing now – but the issue is still happening.

    Hi Stuart,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue on your site!

Are you only seeing this issue occur with the particular category view that you see in the screenshot you provided or are you seeing this issue on your main calendar as well?

Could also take a screenshot of the backend of one of the recurring events that isn’t working properly?  I’d like to try to replicate things on my end as well.

Let me know if you have any additional questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hello Jaime.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I can’t show you anything I’m afraid as I have had to re-enter all the events.

I am just concerned that this will happen again after an update – sorry i can’t give you more information .

    Best regards

    Hi Stuart,

Unfortunately I’m not quite sure how I can assist you without seeing the issue.  All I can say is that if there is an issue with your recurring events upon the next update, I’d recommend starting off by running through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

You can also enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG before updating and share any debug messages you see.

Let me know if there’s anything other questions that I can answer for you!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Hi there it has happened again with the latest update.

TI had to roll back to a previous version of your software.

    The error I received was

Fatal error: Call to undefined function tribe_main_pue_helper() in /home/cocainev2/XT10HW9Z/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/events-calendar-pro.php on line 41

    Hi Stuart,

Thank you for reaching back out.  I’m sorry that you are experiencing this issue again.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

In the meantime, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1.    Make a backup of your database

    2.    Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Can you also take a screenshot of how your events are set up on the backend where you are experiencing the issue, so that I can try to replicate the scenario on my end?

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Stuart,

When you say that recurring events are disappearing, are they events that were from the past, or events that haven’t occurred yet?

I ask because you have a setting that recurring events will be deleted after 1 month.  You can change that setting if you’d like to keep your events around for longer.

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Stuart,

Can you take a screenshot for me of how these events are set up on the backend so that I can try to replicate the scenario that you are describing?

And just to clarify, are the events that are disappearing events that have passed, or events that are upcoming?

    Let me know!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Stuart,

Unfortunately we cannot log in to your site per our Support Policy, but I will do my best to assist you here.

In order to address that error, can you try removing Events Calendar PRO from your site completely via FTP and then re-install it via the Dashboard.

You’ll want to make a backup of your site first just in case.

Let me know if you have any other questions about this process, and let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime
