ParticipantHi There,
I’m having the recurring events 404 issue happening, even after updating plugins to most current, refreshing Permalinks, and clearing site and browser cache.

WP: 4.8.2
Events Calendar: 4.6.1
Events Calendar PRO: 4.4.8THis is a multisite.

MemberHey Natasha,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
I’m so sorry to hear that you are having problems with your calendar. Let me help you to solve this!
Did you check this article regarding 404 errors? Since you already flushed your permalinks and the issue persists, you can proceed to the second step: “Less common solutions”.
Also, if your site has a CDN enabled (like Cloudflare), please make sure that you did clear the CDN cache as well.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll be happy to assist!
Best Regards,
Patricia

ParticipantHi Patricia,
I went through the process described in the link you sent, and still experienced the 404 error on the recurring events single (and /all/) page.
We are not using a CDN.

MemberHi Natasha,
I’m sorry I didn’t notice this before! You mentioned at the very beginning of this topic that you are running Events Calendar PRO version 4.4.8 and that’s the cause of the issue:
The permalink logic for recurring events was moved from The Events Calendar to Events Calendar PRO on version 4.4.14, and all users running recent versions of The Events Calendar with older versions of Events Calendar PRO will experience this same problem as you are right now.
You can download the latest version here. Don’t forget to access the permalinks page and purge cache after the update.
Thanks!
Patricia

ParticipantYay! It’s working now!
Is there a reason the Pro plugin didn’t show an update through automatic updates? Why did I have to do a manual download and update?

MemberHi Natasha,
Awesome! I’m glad to hear that this problem is now solved 😀
Answering your question, you are not receiving automatic updates because you are using a Personal license in a Multisite.
You will find more information about multisite licenses here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/multisite-license/
If you have any other questions at all please feel free to let me know and I’d be happy to help as best I can!
Cheers,
Patricia
