ParticipantWe have a few all-day events that recur in our festival. These display just as they should
- in our month view http://ramsgatefestival.org/events/,
- in our list view http://ramsgatefestival.org/events/list/, and
- in our week view http://ramsgatefestival.org/events/week/2016-07-25.
However, if you look at the day view the events do not appear. For example, http://ramsgatefestival.org/events/2016-07-29/ should include The Return of the Ramsgate Whale and the Chalk Cliffs exhibition, but it does not. How can we fix this, please?

MemberHowdy David,
Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us. I’ll help you here…
I tried to reproduce this locally but I’m always seeing the event in day view (I’ve tried with ‘London/Timezone’ and with different UTC offsets for the event as well). Also, I couldn’t find any related bug in our backlog. This doesn’t imply the issue is legit, but we’ll need to investigate a bit to see what’s causing it!
Can you please follow the steps described in our Testing for conflicts guide? This way we can see if this is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins.
Can you also please send a screenshot of the recurrence settings in the back-end for said event? Also, is this happening with other events (can you create a new event to test this if any existing events are like this one)?
One last thing, the plugins are almost up to date, but can you update theme to just released 4.2.2 version? This way we ensure we are on the same page regarding plugin versions for testing.
Please let me know about it,
Best,

ParticipantThanks for the guidance. I started with the least-hassle instruction, which was to try creating a new event with the same characteristics (all day, recurring over a period of days) that the ‘missing’ events had. To my surprise, this displayed on day view exactly as it should.
I went back to the two ‘missing’ events and couldn’t see anything wrong with the way they were set up, but I tried with one of them first checking “Hide from event listings” (this had never been checked before to the best of my knowledge), then saving the event, then unchecking “Hide from event listings” and saving again. Happily this solved the problem: the event is now visible in day view.
I tried this with the other missing event, and that worked too.
So, mysterious why this should be the case, but it seemed to work. Thanks for prompting me in this direction. (I’m quite glad I didn’t have to go through the Testing for Conflicts process, mainly because I don’t have admin rights to do on the server to do all that.)
