ParticipantFollowing up on another thread, but I too am having issues with the recurrence rules & setting the calendar/date. I seem to understand that there is a work around, but will there be a new version released soon to remedy this issue?
We use WPEngine to host our site (https://www.wilmington.edu/) and recently updated to https, which from reading other threads, may be causing the issue.
If any one can give me some tips on how to fix this quickly until a new version is released, that would be amazing.
Thanks!

MemberHi Gary,
Thanks for writing in!
I’d be more than happy to look into the issue we have on file for you, but would you be willing to share which thread you are referring to? That will allow me to trace it back to our development ticket and get a status update for you.
That will also allow me to see if there any recommendations have been made on the ticket that would allow you some temporary relief until an official patch comes in.
Thanks so much!

MemberAwesome, thanks so much! That helps a ton.
I have added this thread to the ticket that is already open for this issue — assuming that your issue is directly related to it as you suspect. That will allow us to follow up with you directly here in the forums when we release an official patch for it.
I do see that this is marked Priority 1, which is the highest on our radar. We already have a maintenance release in the works and while I cannot guarantee that this ticket will make it in there, I have flagged this to our development team and I’m hoping we can squeeze it in. Again, no guarantees here, but know that we’re certainly prioritizing this, working on it and will keep you posted when we have a fix. In fact, I’ll mark this thread Pending Fix to as an additional reminder for us to follow-up with you.
In the meantime, the temporary fix is to specify HTTPS for the site URL in the WordPress settings under Settings > General if you are using HTTPS across your entire site. If you are using HTTPS only in some areas of the site, then you may be able to use this plugin to help identify and fix insecure content errors. These workarounds have worked for some customers, but not all, so I am hoping it helps you for now.
Thanks for your patience and understanding while we work on this!

ParticipantThanks, Geoff
I also have WPEngine looking into this, as that is who hosts our site…
I’ll post an update if they figure it out on our end. That is where the SSL came from for us as well.

Thanks a ton!

ParticipantHello!
I wanted to share that we’ve just published The Events Calendar 4.3.5, which includes some fixes to our plugin JavaScript and asset loading. These fixes should help address some of the problems reported here.
You can learn more about the release on this page → https://theeventscalendar.com/maintenance-release-the-events-calendar-4-3-5-event-tickets-4-3-5-and-premium-plugins/
Cheers!
