Recognizing .dev.cc as TLD for staging sites?

I use DesktopServer as my development/staging environment.

As you probably know, ServerPress recently switched from using “.dev” as their default TLD to “.dev.cc” for the following reason (from their website):

Due to the latest changes with the .dev Top Level Domain and the fact that many browsers now force SSL on anything with the .dev extension, DesktopServer will now use .dev.cc as its TLD extension. This is a legitimate top level domain owned by ServerPress, LLC and will ONLY be used for local development purposes. This TLD will work no matter which local development solution is being used. It’s our gift to the Community.

Can you (or will you) add “.dev.cc” to the list of TLDs recognized by your licensing system so that our license will work in our staging environment?

Hi Kevin

I’m a Desktop Server user too.

In Using One License for Live and Dev Sites https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-one-license-live-dev-sites/, we do specify which domain structures that we currently support for staging sites. 

If your site doesn’t match the criteria, you can still use the plugin.  You will need to manually run updates, the license may not register (or you could register it there while building and later Move Your License Key https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-your-license-keys/.  If you need to contact support during that time, please manually send in your System Info.

We are hoping to expand our staging parameters and would love to get this option listed at http://tribe.uservoice.com. This helps our developers know which features to work on based on our community’s input.
