    Hello!

I am working with an arts council on upgrading their calendar. They had a paid version of Events Calendar PRO and Community Events but never used it. Their current calendar is causing a lot of problems. They need member organizations to be able to easily schedule events (especially recurring events that happen on multiple days & times) with images and have a front end that is easy to use. They also need a back end where they are approving events before they print. Ideally, if each organization had a user name & password that could be turned off when their membership expired that would be great. Currently their subscription to Events Calendar is an old version and they haven’t renewed. It would be great to get to use the calendar and have a better idea of functionality before paying again? Is there a way to do that?

Also, they are looking to move off of Word Press because they need to have a very simple interface that their inhouse team can manage without a lot of training. Will you be functional with any other website builders before 1/1?

    Thanks!

    Hi Kristy,

Thanks for taking the time to reach out! It definitely sounds like Events Calendar PRO and Community Events should provide all the functionality that your client is seeking here, including the ability to restrict event submissions to registered users only (and disable those accounts later, if needed). Unfortunately, we don’t have any plans to extend these two products to non-WordPress platforms at this time. I’m so sorry to disappoint. 🙁

You may be interested in learning more about Lumin, our upcoming hosted solution that provides calendar functionality for WordPress and non-WordPress site platforms. While user-submitted events will not be an available feature at launch, you may find that a working solution is possible, either with manual addition of approved events or with one or more third-party integrations. For more information on the Lumin product and how to sign up for early access, check out our recent blog post on the subject here:

I hope that helps to get you started! Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions!

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
