QR Scanner not checking in

    Hi,

    I just purchased Event Tickets Plus and attempted to check-in via QuickMark scanner on Android phone. I followed the following process:
    1. Opened Chrome
    2. went to my WP URL and logged in as administrator
    3. went to attendees page of the event. (Select Events, select the specific event, select Attendees. 4. Left this window open in phone’s browser.
    5. Opened QuickMark scanner app and scanned the QR code on the ticket.
    4. A second Chrome window was opened, at the top of the window, it showed me as logged in.
    The URL that it went to was the event URL and did not check me into the test event that I set up.

    I see that this has been reported several times before so I assume it can be an easy fix.

    Never mind! It appears that since I’m just doing development that my site URL is not working correctly and hence the URL that is being put into the QR code is wrong. The URL that is being inserted is:
    http://mysite.org/new?event_qr_code=1&ticket_id=4122&event_id=4109 What works is:
    http://mysite.org/new/?event_qr_code=1&ticket_id=4122&event_id=4109 When using this URL the QR Check In process works.

    I tried changing the WebPress Address and Site Address in General Settings but it keeps deleting the final “/” Hope that once I get ready for production and move everything to final locations that this should resolve itself.

    Happy to know you found the source of that problem. That is mostly sure the reason why it wasn’t working.

    However, I’d suggest that once your site is live, you run a couple of tests to see if this is still an issue as it might be a conflict with another plugin or theme. In which case, you should test for conflicts by following this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
