ParticipantHi,
Tried this a few times and still doesn’t email out the qr code as part of the email, it leaves the space available, but alas no image.
Tried with both free and paid events – I had originally assumed no qr was added to free events.Urgently need this to work for a client!
Events Tickets 4.63
Events Tickets Plus 4.6.2
The Events Calendar 4.6.10Ideally shouldn’t deactivate plugins as this is a live site.
Thanks!

KeymasterHi Matt,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue on your site!
Would you mind providing a screenshot of what the ticket email looks like that you are seeing? Just to clarify, you should see the QR code in the ticket email, but not in the order email from WooCommerce.
Also, sometimes images are not displayed in an email (which would include the QR code) and sometimes the emails end up in spam.
Which email client are you having trouble displaying the QR codes on?
Let me know!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantHi,
Screenshot is attached! Yeah it’s definitely the correct ticket email.
Images are being shown – and there’s no html for the image at all, tried in both Google Inbox and Thunderbird, as well as our company internal client which is custom Roundcube. The email delivered contains no image references within the source – I tried to add this as a txt or html but I couldn’t attach this here, so will add it as a private reply after this.
I also saw the response on another thread which suggested checking the uploads folder (at /var/www/html/wp-content/uploads/) and there’s no qr codes in there either under any subfolder or otherwise.
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Aaron,
Thanks for providing me with that information. Unfortunately, I’m not able to replicate the issue that you are seeing, but I’d like to continue to gather more information and help you to troubleshoot.
One thing you can try is to use a third-party plugin to see if that brings the QR codes into the email.
You can have the system send tickets from any chosen email address by simply installing, configuring and testing the following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/
Using a real SMTP server with authentication will bypass the built-in WP mail functionality altogether.
Please make sure you configure and test the settings using the plugin’s built-in tool.
Before doing that, you can try to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Let me know how that all goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantHi Jaime,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I’m unsure using this plugin would solve anything as the SMTP (Postfix send only) server I’ve implemented (as I’ve built the server from scratch on a digitalocean droplet) has the same features and successfully sends all woocommerce emails even with images embedded, whilst it’s only Events Tickets that fails – with no qr codes and no featured image for the event.
The SMTP server also has SPF records and DKIM, and authenticates with our mail system on a separate server. My smtp installation – https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-and-configure-postfix-as-a-send-only-smtp-server-on-ubuntu-16-04
If there’s anything I’m missing please point me in the right direction.I’ll try to test for conflicts later at night for the region this site is for. Would a WP_DEBUG log help you look into the issue too?
Thanks,

ParticipantSolved by installing php-gd on my server – you should make dependencies clearer!
