QR Code in confirmation email

Is there a way to append the QR generating code in this discussion so that more information is included in the QR code:

What I want to add is the following information:

Hi, Martin. The content of the QR code generated by Event Tickets’ email is simply a URL that, when scanned, checks in the attendee.

There’s no way to add this additional information and still utilize the QR codes as intended.
