ParticipantHi Geoff,
The theme shouldn’t be an issue, as I have tested this with the default 2017 theme active (which is when I sent over the system information). I have reactivated 2017 and the issue still exists. The system info is current from what I originally sent.
You also have access to the WP backend, can you not pull the system info yourself?
Like I said I have tried deactivating all plugins, revert to 2017 default theme, and the issue still persists.

MemberGood evening Paul,
That is a good point about the system information.
Totally my bad.As a side note, I did encounter many themes that do interfere greatly with basic behaviours of our plugins.
I simply wanted to leave no stone unturned. With that in mind, I believe I might have found the cause of the issue.
I believe the issue comes from the discrepancy between WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL).I will run some additional tests on my end, but it looks like the extra “/wp/” in the URL might be breaking the functionality.
If so, I will absolutely open a ticket for that.
Hang tight as I run these tests.
Thank you for your patience.
Have a good weekend,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Paul,
Just a quick note to let you know I have not forgotten about you.
Changing just one of the URL on an existing staging site proved to be more complex than expected.I am rebuilding a new environment from scratch. Hopefully that will help.
Hang in there!

ParticipantThanks for the follow through! The URL rewrite for /wp/ comes from Bedrock, which is a pretty common framework for WordPress. So figuring out this issue will hopefully help solve it for other potentials in the future with development companies using Bedrock.
I’ll stay tuned.

MemberGood evening Paul,
You are absolutely right.
Being able to confirm for sure that this is the issue and fixing it would certainly be useful to several people. To make sure we leave no stone unturned, would you mind sharing the content or a copy of your .htaccess file (via a private reply) ?
Thank you for your patience while we get to the bottom of this.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

ParticipantThe build uses the Roots Bedrock framework and there is no associated .htaccess file.

MemberGood evening Paul,
Thank you for that additional piece of information.
I have escalated the question about the Roots Bedrock Framework to our code Ninjas since this is slightly above my pay grade.Hang tight as I follow up on this for you.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Paul,
Sorry for the incredibly long delay.
We were unable to reproduce the issue on our end.But we did conduct extended search on support for different URLs being used (as per method number 2 discussed here https://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory)
The only things this leaves us with are:
- Making sure that logged-in users doing the scan have “Edit post” capabilities in their WordPress role
- A compatibility issue with Bedrock
- Something specific to your install / sever / configuration.
If you have not already done so, could you try updating to the latest version of our plugins ?
<span style=”font-size: 0.875rem;”>Other than suggesting to test things out on a brand new basic install, I am truly at a loss to explain why this does not work.</span>
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have unfortunately.
Best regards,
Geoff B.
