John
ParticipantHi,
Presently have:
- Community Tickets
- Community Events
- Event Tickets Plus
- Events Calendar Pro
Would like to have the Event Organizer pay for each Event Booked on the Community Calendar via a purchase (WooCommerce).
So they get charged a flat fee to book an event, while they collect ticket sales.
How would I integrate that with WC?
Thanks,
John-

MemberGood evening John and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. The great news is that you can do exactly what you are looking for.
Simply head over to Events -> Settings -> Community and scroll all the way down to Per-ticket fee type
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

ParticipantThanks for your reply.
Doesn’t per ticket fee mean that a flat fee is added for each ticket sold by the Community Event Organizer?
I just want to charge the Organizer a flat fee for registering their event and not per ticket fee.
Flat fee to post their event only.
Per-ticket fee type does that?

MemberGood afternoon John,
This is totally my bad. I misunderstood your request, I apologize.
Currently, there is no built-in way to do this automatically.
That being said:- There is a User Voice feature request for that very purpose: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3762678-charge-for-event-submission . You are welcome to vote for it and your comments
- You could hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

ParticipantOK, how about this work around….
What if we charge a flat fee on ticket sales with a $6 cap once the organizer has sold enough tickets?
Is there a cap setting on tickets fees?
We don’t want to charge more than a basic fee on all events.
Thanks,

MemberGood afternoon John,
I like the idea behind your workaround. It’s very creative.
Unfortunately, as much as I hate being the bearer of bad news, there is no cap on the ticket fees.
As you can see, the only other built-in option is to have a % AND a fee simultaneously on ticket sales. That being said, you might want to make these excellent suggestions on our User voice page.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

ParticipantGeoff,
One last one before I close this ticket….
Can my event booking just redirected to the WooCommerce basket upon Submit, where the organizer pays for the Event as a one-off flat fee product?
Then the event is published without review, and they can start collect payment on ticket sales.
Since I have Stripe as a payment gateway enabled and working on WC, can I split the payment of ticket sales with the organizer during the ticket sales phase?
Thanks,

MemberHey John,
Yes, you can:
- Redirect your “Add to cart” button pretty much where you want to: https://docs.woothemes.com/document/set-a-custom-add-to-cart-url-to-redirect-to/
- Redirect to a completely different URL after event submission with the following plugin: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/redirect-to-different-url-after-event-submission/
Since I have Stripe as a payment gateway enabled and working on WC, can I split the payment of ticket sales with the organizer during the ticket sales phase?
Stripe will work alongside community events, but it does not allow the split payment option (at least not for now). But you can vote for the feature here: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/13051791-add-stripe-to-community-tickets
Finally, keep in mind that anything that is not built-in can be added if you hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you 🙂
Best regards,
Geoff B.
