Hi,
I’m developing a website in English (main language) and German using the WPML plugin but I’m finding some problems with the integration of The Event Calendar / PRO / Filter Bar. I’ve already followed all the instructions I found here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-translations-for-events-using-wpml/ https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-translations-for-events-using-wpml/
but the problems are still not solved. I attach here some gifs to explain them in detail. (to make these tests I disabled some plugins, among which Event Calendar Filter Bar, because I’m not sure about their compatibility with wpml)1) https://www.dropbox.com/s/4jt2jdxz0i7pli2/2017-06-19%2015.00.53.gif
When passing to German, it first loads the German events but then, when the markers appear in the map, the page is updated with the English events.2) https://www.dropbox.com/s/afjjaor0ofrrlbh/2017-06-19%2015.01.36.gif
If I go from the German map view to the German list view, it loads the English list view page3) https://www.dropbox.com/s/3it6j2xqbbdv9zt/2017-06-19%2015.03.12.gif
If I go from the German list view to the German map view, a non existing English page is loaded: instead of being “de.site.dev/calendar/map” the url is “site.dev/calendar/karte”.4) https://www.dropbox.com/s/lozee7gnmtjebni/2017-06-19%2015.05.13.gif
(I re-enabled the Filter Bar to do this) When I select one filter in the German list view page, the German events disappear and an empty English list is loaded.I attach the System Information and a screenshot of the template files that i copied in the theme folder: https://tppr.me/Kl7kc
Could you please give me some hints about how to solve this?
Thank you,

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the issues you have bumped into while using Filter Bar and Community Events with WPML.
I would love to help you with this topic. The first thing you should know is that we do not fully support Filter Bar and Community Events integration with WPML yet: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/wpml-support/
But we do plan to release this feature.
In the meantime, some of our customers have had success implementing some custom solutions.

More specifically for “Select how to translate strings in the theme and plugins”
June 23, 2017 at 3:12 am #1302174DavidParticipantHi Geoff, thank you for your answer!
Here you can find two screenshots of /wp-admin/admin.php?page=sitepress-multilingual-cms%2Fmenu%2Ftheme-localization.php page: https://tppr.me/woQRJ – https://tppr.me/mwHlE
I understand that the filter bar is not fully supported by WPML, but cases 1, 2 and 3 occur only when “the event calendar” and “the event calendar pro” are enabled.
Do you have any idea on how to solve this?
Thanks,

July 1, 2017 at 2:33 am #1314888DavidParticipantHi Geoff,
the error message you noticed is present only in the staging environment. But in the dev environment, the problems with The Event Calendar are still present. It’s related to Bedrock / Trellis (https://roots.io/bedrock/ / https://roots.io/trellis/) setup that I’m using for this website. Months ago I had some problems with that and wpml, but after an update from their side all works fine, without the error message that you noticed.Maybe the problem with the events calendar plugin is a compatibility problem with Roots setup? Could you check this please?
Thanks,
