When we create word press pages, we can edit url permanent link to allow SEO ranking for each different language according to keyword chosen:
PT – 1st new page created
url: https://www.ifa-training.com/cursos/curso-atpl-integrado/
keyword: curso atpl integradoEN – translation (+) from portuguese version
url: https://www.ifa-training.com/en/training-offers/atpl-integrated-course/
keyword: atpl integrated courseCALENDAR
When we create calendar events, we can edit url permanent link, but WE SHOULD NOT change it because we will get broken links (404 error).STEPS
1 – Entering the calendar events area
PT – https://www.ifa-training.com/calendar/
EN – https://www.ifa-training.com/en/calendar/Until this stage, everything works fine, we just press the flag icon to change languages, and it switches content and url as above.
2 – Creating a calendar event – WITHOUT changing url
PT – 1st event created
https://www.ifa-training.com/calendar/curso-atpl-integrado/
EN – translation (+) from portuguese version
https://www.ifa-training.com/en/calendar/curso-atpl-integrado/Everything works fine, BUT it’s not SEO optimized, once keyword is “atpl integrated course” and url should have been
https://www.ifa-training.com/en/calendar/atpl-integrated-course/3 – Creating a calendar event – CHANGING url
PT – 1st event created
https://www.ifa-training.com/calendar/curso-atr-42-72-type-rating-20180326/2018-03-26/
EN – translation (+) from portuguese version
https://www.ifa-training.com/en/calendar/atr-42-72-type-rating-course/2018-03-26/Both events work just fine and independent BUT when you try to alternate between languages, viewing that event entrance, it gives you a broken link (404)
https://www.ifa-training.com/en/calendar/curso-atr-42-72-type-rating-20180326/2018-03-26/I am working with recurrent events and this is a nightmare… can someone please help?

Thanks so much for reaching out!
As a first step, please review this article on translations, particularly the section on Recurring Events, to ensure that you have everything correctly in place:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-translations-for-events-using-wpml/
In addition, you may want to read more about Permalinks Best Practices, to ensure that you are following the recommendations that we have:

Let me know how that goes and if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime
