ParticipantHi there,
I’m currently working with the Event Ticket Plus + Event Calendar Pro + WooCommerce in a Multisite environment. After updating the plugins, the following occurs:– event description dissapears
– tickets are no longer shown on event page
– ‘participants’ shows a number but not the detail (no tickets are displayed)
– I created supplementary fields on ticket level. The participants have to fill out these fields for gathering extra information (gender, nationality, …) This information can’t be found anywhere in the system. In other words, … I’m in trouble. Please help me out.
I restored my backup to the situation I had before upgrading.
Kind regards,
AlainNovember 28, 2017 at 6:50 am #1393652Jaime Marchwinski
KeymasterHi Alain,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue! With the upgraded versions of our plugins and WordPress, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:1. A conflict with another plugin
2. A conflict with your WordPress theme
3. A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
1. Make a backup of your database
2. Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantHi,
this is what I did:
– I put my site in maintenance mode
– I changed my theme to Twenty Fourteen (my tickets that were created under my event already disappeared)
– I disabled all my plugins with exception of the Event + Ticket plugins (nothing changed)
– I upgraded my Event & Ticket plugins (nothing changed)
– I re-activated WooCommerce (nothing changed)
– I upgraded my Avada theme and re-activated it (nothing changed)
So, by the end of this testing, I have a situation where the tickets I created are gone, the tickets I sold cannot be found, the extra fields I asked users to fill out on buying tickets cannot be found.
Fortunately I could revert to my backup.
Urgent help required! Our season for selling tickets is starting now…November 30, 2017 at 5:46 am #1395662Jaime Marchwinski
KeymasterHi Alain,
I’m sorry that you are still seeing this issue! Sometimes when you make a drastic upgrade, as it seems that you have, issues can come up. Can you try upgrading your Events Calendar, Events Calendar PRO, Events Tickets, and Events Tickets Plus plugins one version at a time, and checking back to see when the issue occurs?
I would also recommend updating your WordPress version as well.
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantThanks Jaime.
I upgraded as you suggested. My tickets dissapear the moment I upgrade the Event tickets plugin.

KeymasterHi Alain,
Thanks for providing me with that information! I’m so sorry that you are still experiencing this issue!
I noticed that your Events Calendar PRO plugin still hasn’t been updated. Was this intentional? I’d recommend updating that as well and seeing if the situation improves.
Can you also please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see?
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantProblem solved! the curious thing is that the system didn’t indicate at all that the plugin was outdated.
After deleting the plugin and reinstalling it, everything seemed to be back to normal. Many thanks for your help!December 5, 2017 at 5:37 am #1398490Jaime Marchwinski
