ParticipantWhen letting Facebook Importer import some event automatically, from the future (after the change of Summer/Winter Time on October 25th), they appear with a 1h-delay in the Event Calendar.
So for example event XY on facebook is set to 7pm October 30th 2015.
After the import it appears at 8pm on the Event Calendar…Is there a workaround for this problem?
Regards

ParticipantI’m sorry to hear about this @Lukas!
1. Can you clarify what timezone you have in your site’s wp-admin > Settings > General? Are your Facebook events in the same exact timezone?
2. Next, can you share your system information with us? Here’s how to do that → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
3. Can you link to some specific events on Facebook that have this problem upon being imported?
4. Finally, for now: you mention that this only happens with “some events” – do you know what it is about these events that have the problem specifically? How are they different from the events that import accurately?
Thank you!

ParticipantHi George
Thanks for your quick reply.1.The set time zone is Zurich (CEST). Facebook Events are all in the exact same time zone. I think the problem is about the time change from daylight saving time to wintertime, what happens on october 25. all events after this date are imported with the wrong time.
2. System Information follows up…
3. My site catches all Events of these facebook fanpages:
https://www.facebook.com/dukesrestaurant?fref=ts
https://www.facebook.com/sihl3-1413104925578181/timeline/4. Problem is with all the events beginning after october 25 (after timechange).
For now i changed all the wrong event times manually..
Thanks for your help.

ParticipantHey Lukas,
Thanks for the information. I unfortunately do not know if there’s a way around the timezone issue relating to “Summer/Winter Time”, because Facebook’s timezone features in their API don’t work well with implementations like our WordPress plugin – I’d recommend changing the timezone on your WordPress site from “Zurich” to its numerical UTC equivalent. I believe this is UTC+1.
Does this make any improvement with the behavior of your issues?

ParticipantHi George
Thanks for your help. I will try this and observe if the problem is solved, when adding new events in facebook.
Best regards
