ParticipantI am having the exact same problem some other posters had, unfortunatly, neither one of them showed any kind of resolution.
Editing tickets with discounts causes the discount to be rendered as the price

The members discount (20%) is automatically given to the ticket price overall, even rewriting the actual ticket price and showing me the “sale price” on the back end. Ive tried disabling every other plugin as well as using the WP 2016 theme with no edits.

MemberHi there @neuroticalartist,
Thanks for getting in touch with us on this! I’m sorry to hear about this conflict for sure, and as you say it doesn’t seem to have a resolution for now. Also I couldn’t find any reports of this in our backlog π
Basically we cannot state compatibility with all Woo extensions, but we can log an internal ticket to look into it at some point in the future, specially if we receive many reports from the community. But before we do that I think there’s a pretty similar plugin that takes care of the same functionality and seems to work with Event Tickets Plus: WooCommerce Role Pricing. Can you take a look and see if this plugin would work for you?

Participantwhat? Isn’t this an official Woo Extension? your telling me that you have no intention of looking into what is clearly a bug and what others have posted having the exact same issue, because not enough people have the problem? are you kidding me?

ParticipantI have to use WooCommerce Members, I’ve built an entire site around it, even if I dont use it with your ticket sales specifically it will still screw up my ticket process since they dont even have to be tied together to effect it so the other plugin is out of the question, if this is the case and your just not interested in finding a fix for this because not enough people have this problem, then my only recourse is to dump my Modern Tribe plugins and find something else.
*fuming*

Participantit doesnt look like WooCommerce Role Pricing recognizes WooCommerce Members as WP Roles so it cant fix my issue

I think you miss-understood me. I just said that we can look into this, but if you use another working plugin the road is much shorter. I’m sorry to other plugin didn’t work for you π
I went ahead and logged this conflict and added your case and the ones you mention for the report to have a higher priority than normal. I don’t have a specific date for the fix to be out, but I linked the report with this thread so you’ll get noticed about it.
Digging our backlog I also found a related issue which solution might work for this too. Paste the code below in your theme (or child theme) functions.php file:

Hope that helps for now,

ParticipantSorry I dont mean to sound pissed off and frustrated (although admittedly, I kinda am), I dont think I miss-understood you. Those other posts were 5 and 6 months ago, so clearly Modern Tribe is in no hurry what so ever to fix this bug. If I got this plugin from Code Canyon for $29 I might not be so frustrated about this as that’s the breaks but your stuff isnt cheap by any means and you advertise all the time about Woo Compatibility and integration.
BTW that code didnt work. I appreciate the effort though but unless its something we can figure out in the next week, I am going to have to put in a refund request and just figure out something else… and consider a weeks worth of customization expensive time wasted *Sigh*

ParticipantOK I take that back, I was actually logged in as a member in both browsers. This functions do does actually seem to fix my problem. Im glad as I was sweatin having to start all this over!
Thanks for that code, that certainly buys me some time to wait for a fix.

MemberReally stocked to hear about the fix π
I can totally understand your frustration and it’s not that we don’t care but as stated before it’s not an easy task to stay compatible with all Woo extensions. The related ticket I found in the back-end was created to investigate if it’s actually possible to make our plugin compatible with the WooCommerce Members Discounts. The suggestion I sent was a pretty quick fix that helped some customers but not a tight, and tested integration of course. So hopefully we will see some progress on this soon!
I’ll set this thread status to ‘Pending Fix’ as the final fix is still under development. The feature ticket is linked to this thread so we will send you a heads-up when this is out!
Thanks for the patience while we work on this,

ParticipantHow is this going? The quick fix in functions isn’t working anymore. This is really really killing me. I built an entire site around the memberships, event calendar and ticket sales. The fact that it doesnt work totally freaks me out because I will have to dump one of these things and redo all of it again. Thats thousands of dollars of hourly billing that I wont be able to charge for. Uggg. the thought of that makes me twitch.
What is it gonna take to get this fixed? Is there any techs willing to work to fix MY problem for a fee since we have no time frame of fixing this (or the RSVP / Tickets bug) anytime soon????

MemberThanks for the follow-up @neuroticartist, sorry to hear the fix is not helping anymore π
The work to get this issue fixed has already started but the solution is not ready yet. The plan is to ship this in the next maintenance release 4.3.6 coming out next week. If there’s a chance I can hand you a pre-release zip before the launch I’ll let you know.

MemberHey there, just a heads up that we released Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus 4.2.6 moments ago and it included a fix for this issue. Please do update when you have the chance and definitely let us know if you continue to have any issues at all.
Thanks so much for reporting this and for your patience while we worked on a fix. π
Cheers!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!

MemberHey @neuroticartist,
Thanks for the comment! We just found it while reviewing ‘not good’ threads ratings. Looks likethe droid autoclosed the forum thread before you could add your feedback on this.
Can you please let me know if this is still broken for you? If so, can you please describe the steps to reproduce the issue with the current versions of the plugin?
Thanks so much,
Nico -
