Hi, I have set up an event with one ticket, using Woocommerce. While testing, I have discovered the following glitch. I select the number of tickets and click Add to Cart. The quantity then resets to zero and transfers to the shopping cart page with a ‘your basket is currently empty’ message. Any ideas? I have almost no technical know how, so please keep it simple! 🙂 thanks.

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the add to cart button not working properly on your site. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.By the sound of it, it looks like there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes.

The problem still exists while using that theme and with all plugins deactivated. I am getting very close to projected launch date so your assistance in resolving this would be appreciated.

July 18, 2017 at 7:18 am #1322620HenryParticipantOk Figured this one out.
I tested for conflict issues on both theme and plugin. There were none.I uninstalled and reinstalled the ticket and ticket plus plugins. The issue was resolved.
I did find a curious “thing”
If I did not choose how many tickets I wanted it produced the same error.
With that in mind. Would it be possible to either set the default number of tickets to one or alternatively set some sought of control to not let you buy “0” tickets.Regards
Henry
Made In Workshop.July 19, 2017 at 12:00 am #1323123Geoff B.MemberGood evening Ana or Henry (I am a bit confused here),
I am super stoked that you found a solution.
You might want to delete all of the test events on your site. You can totally set a default ticket quantity value to one.
You could apply the following snippet in the functions.php file of your theme (without the PHP tag at the top): https://gist.github.com/cliffordp/5b57df71be8b52f595817ddbf81acdab
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

While I am pleased that Henry has found an answer, he and I are not connected. I will do my best to replicate what he did and paste the code you have provided. I will let you know what happens.
