Pro causes runaway php processes

Our website took a few dives today. We had just upgraded to the latest release of Events Calendar Pro. After some troubleshooting, we determined that the website would work fine without the plugin activated, but would quickly die with it turned back on.

Our hosting provider told us we were running out of memory, and it was starting up lots of php processes.

Version: 4.4.14
Wordpress: 4.8 running Newspaper 7 theme

Anyone else seeing website slowdowns or shutdowns with this?

Is there an easy way to roll back to a prior version?

Finally, there is a good article George put up here that groups a set of developer plugins. It’s a bit more technical than the others but will definitely be of help if you are into development.
