    Hi

I am intending to start a website selling electronic tickets, I noticed that on the free plugin, the South African currency, viz (Rand, or R or ZAR) is not supported. I reside in South Africa and will be selling only to South African citizens.

    I, therefore, wish to inquire:

    1. Is the South African currency supported by Event Ticket Plus?
    2. Can tickets or rsvp be generated with predetermined user data (name and surname) were the user only needs to RSVP or download ticket?
    3. Can tickets/rsvp/event be made to be visible to only a select number of guests without requesting them to be site members or admins?
    4. How does the QR Scan function? how does it validate against the database of tickets purchased? I think your info mentions that any QR scanner can be utilized for this purpose…. how is the validation process managed.
    5. Can I brand each individual ticket to the specifications of each customer? (their logo and specific choice of colors).

    Thank you.

    Hi Sinethemba!

Thanks for your interest in our plugins! Let me answer each of your questions.

    1. Is the South African currency supported by Event Ticket Plus?

If you want to sell tickets for your events, the currency will depend on the ecommerce platform you use. Let me point you to the following article about this > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/ecommerce-settings/

    2. Can tickets or rsvp be generated with predetermined user data (name and surname) were the user only needs to RSVP or download ticket?

Yes, with Event Tickets Plus you can collect additional attendee information > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/collecting-attendee-information/

    3. Can tickets/rsvp/event be made to be visible to only a select number of guests without requesting them to be site members or admins?

Unfortunately, this is not not possible. If you need to limit RSVPs or ticket purchases to only logged in users, you can do so with our plugins but they will need to create a user account.

Additionally, let me share the following article as reference > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/making-members-calendar/

    4. How does the QR Scan function? how does it validate against the database of tickets purchased? I think your info mentions that any QR scanner can be utilized for this purpose…. how is the validation process managed.

Exactly, with Event Tickets Plus a QR code is generated for each ticket which you can then scan using any QR scan app. You must be logged into your WordPress site as an admin in order to check-in attendees for your event. You can learn more about this in https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-qr-codes-event-tickets-plus/.

Let me also note that we are currently working on our own native QR code scan application that we’ll be releasing very soon.

    5. Can I brand each individual ticket to the specifications of each customer? (their logo and specific choice of colors).

You can specify a ticket header image for each of your events, but there is no built-in functionality to change the color of the ticket for each event. However, further customizations can be made to the ticket email template by using on of the methods described in our themer’s guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

I hope that helps 🙂 Let me know if any follow up questions.

    Best,
    Victor

    Hi Victor

Thank you very much for the reply,

    Thank you, understood.

    2. Can tickets or rsvp be generated with predetermined user data (name and surname) were the user only needs to RSVP or download ticket?
Yes, with Event Tickets Plus you can collect additional attendee information > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/collecting-attendee-information/
I do not think you understood me here. Can I use a wedding or party as an example? Let us assume I have a party coming up and I know who I want to invite (predetermined user-data). Can I create name specific tickets so I can invite Victor and Victor only has to indicate if he is “Going” or “Not Going”? without requesting him to fill in any of his personal details?

    3. Can tickets/rsvp/event be made to be visible to only a select number of guests without requesting them to be site members or admins?

I think I will use the Hide Visibility option because I want to also offer a service of sending invites to private events like workshops and meetings. Meaning only a select number of people must view and have access to that particular event.

    4. How does the QR Scan function? how does it validate against the database of tickets purchased? I think your info mentions that any QR scanner can be utilized for this purpose…. how is the validation process managed.

Thank you. I wish you had a video tutorial which I can also send to my clients.

    Hi Sinethemba,

    Thanks for following up.

    2. I’m sorry for the confusion here. Unfortunately, that is not a built-in functionality of our plugins.

Is there anything else I can help you with? Let me know.

    Best,
    Victor

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
