I’d be happy to answer your questions here:
1) print name badges for attendees as this is how we provide security at our conference.
Unfortunately, at this time, it’s not a built in option to generate name badges for events, but this change could be made with some customization. It should also be noted, that attendee information can be exported to have badges created through another program. I recommend checking out the following resources if you’d like to try making these changes yourself or to find someone to help out with this:

2) create a schedule that shows multiple workshops at the same time (typically 1 hour timeslots) throughout the day within one event. We sell access to the conference (ticket) and that allows access to any workshop during the 3 days of the conference.
You can create various workshop selections with ticket fieldsets, and users can see their selection/schedule by viewing their tickets on the website. More on that feature here. 🙂
