Prior to buying the Pro version I need to know if it has a solution so a user can print the monthly calendar view. Printing from the browser is just plain ugly. I need to be able to print the view that is on the screen. The Free version has no feature for that, does the pro?

    Hi, Jim.

There’s no extra print-friendly functionality for the PRO add-on (or any other of our add-ons).

I believe you’re requesting the same thing as one of our existing feature requests:

Please do add your vote there.

This allows us to gauge interest in this particular feature request, which helps us prioritize our development efforts.

Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

Thanks for the response Cliff. With all due respect, it;s hard for me to believe that you don’t have this feature built in especially with how many comments are in the forum about it. I really like your plugin tremendously but without this feature I cannot purchase it and I have to mmove on. Bummer for me and bummer for you.

I understand, Jim. Everyone has different critical features.

Here are some print previews from our demo site:

    1)

Which view(s) are business-critical for you to have print-friendly copies of (Month, Week, List)?

    2)

And are the print previews in an acceptable format (except for spanning multiple pages)?

I ask because you could add custom CSS that only applies for printing.

You could also use a service like PrintFriendly.com and then hover over items to click to delete them, then print, save as PDF, or email –> https://cl.ly/3C1b2v3j3J0j –> PDF version

Thanks for suggestions Cliff. It is the monthly view that I need the most. Your link for that view is closer but I don’t care for how it splits the screen between the 5th and the 6th. PrintFirendly.com prints the whole page which I do not want, plus it’s a manual thing. This is for my church site and these folks aren’t going to go to another site and enter a url. Just won’t happen no matter easy you and I know it is.

Here is a url to our current calendar http://www.myvcc.com/sites/default/files/Nov%202016.pdf. This is what I need to generate, a view of the entire month that the user can just click on a print button and generate his view.

You mention CSS as a possibility to handle this. How can I do that? Maybe that can solve this problem.

Realistically do you guys have any plans to produce a print function in the very near future?

I’m not trying to turn this into a support thread, just trying to find out what I can and cannot do with this plugin prior to purchase. I n addition to the question I have been asking about printing, is there a shortcode to display the monthly calendar view on a page? Also, do you have a feature to handle Recurring events?

    No worries, Jim.

Here’s some CSS to make Month View quite a bit more print-friendly, but it’s imperfect. I’d still consider it a significant improvement thought:

    Screenshots:

You’d have to adapt it for your theme’s HTML, but please do let me know your thoughts.

And please see this KB article for your shortcode question.

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
