    Dear people at Tribe,
I have an issue. I switch to the ‘twenty thirteen’ theme and it was gone. I’m using the genesis theme ‘cafe pro’

I can go back to “previous events’. But when I use the link back to ‘next events’ I doesn’t work anymore.

    There an error message:

TypeError: undefined is not an object (evaluating ‘k.length’)
    otribe-events-photo-view.min.js:1:1542
    (anonymous function)tribe-events-photo-view.min.js:1:4176

    (anonymous function)tribe-events-photo-view.min.js:1:4163
    dispatchjquery.js:3:8554
    handlejquery.js:3:5257

I’m a Javascript nitwit. Can you help me?
    Thanks, Joop

    Hi,

Thanks for using our plugins. I can try to help out here, but I am limited in supporting 3rd party coding per our terms and conditions.

Is the issue just with the theme and not with another plugin as well?

I am not sure what the issue is with the theme and have nothing to suggest on what to change in their coding.

Have you contacted the theme developer to see if they have any idea on this?

Let me know and we can go from here.

    Thanks

Hey, I’ve submitted a support ticket to Studiopress. I’m afraid their reaction is gonna be the same as yours. Fingers crossed…

    Ok sounds good.

I used Genesis as well and not running into this issue.

What theme is it in Genesis?

Also, if you go through our testing for conflicts guide:

Testing Conflicts With Themes and Other Plugins

Does it find a plugin causing the issue or is it just the theme?

    Thanks

    Hey, I figured it out. I had removed the “Tribe bar” ( <?php tribe_get_template_part( ‘modules/bar’ ); ?> )

Maybe you can help me with another problem.

The sort order of my past events are reversed. The oldest are first. I tried some fixes of previous threads, but none of them seem to work.

Also, the page load time is nit bad, but a few seconds more than other pages of my site. I tried a caching plugin but I ran into problems with minifying js and css with TEC related widgets and the archive page. I don’t have any expertise in this, so any suggestion in the right direction is welcome.

    Best regards, Joop

    Hi,

It is a good idea to try and keep your tickets to one topic as it helps other people if they are looking for the same thing and for us to keep track.

    No worries here though.

To reverse the past order does this snippet work for you?

I am not sure what else you tried.

    As for performance.

I cannot help setup a caching beyond what we provide for the month view.

I would look to using a plugin such as WP Super Cache and that could help.

I have found WP Rocket and W3 Total Cache to work well too.

It could also be hosting if on a shared host.

    Cheers

    Thank you , Brain.
Yeah I have found the snippet in previous threads. It does not seem to effect the sort order in my case. I have no clue why.

I use WP Rocket , but I have to exclude all TEC js and css from the minify option, to get a proper display of the site. Maybe it has something to do with the order in which the css/js files are loaded. And yeah, my hosting is not that high-end to expect blazing speed results.

I have this Knowledge Base as well:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/show-past-events-in-chronological-order/

I think it is the same snippet though.

I tested it and it worked for me.

If it is not changing anything I would check on the snippet placement again.

Also you could do our testing for conflicts guide and see if that changes the result:
