ParticipantHi, I am trying to figure out a solution to make the tickets work with the woocommerce deposits plugin (https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-deposits/). Unfortunately, your plugin does not work with it out of the box. On the main events page it shows the ticket but it does not show an option to select to pay a deposit or full amount and it does not adjust the price. The only thing that works is if you force the deposit amount, which we want to be optional, and then it shows on the cart page. All that being said, If you don’t have another solution I am wondering if there is a way to prevent the ticket product from redirecting to the associated event. Then maybe I can send them to the main product page where they will have the option to select to pay just the deposit and then add the item to the cart?

KeymasterHi Cordes,
Thanks for reaching out! This is a great question…Since tickets are essentially WooCommerce simple products, they typically work pretty well with WooCommerce extensions. However, the default ticket form will not integrate with them by default. So, you can do a customization to integrate them, for which our themer’s guide will be helpful, or you can alternatively sell tickets from the default WooCommerce page. This article has some more info on how to do this.
We are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations and third-party integrations, but if you get stuck or have any questions, please let me know – I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction!
Thanks,
Jennifer

ParticipantHi Jennifer,
Thank you so much for getting back to me. That is exactly what I needed. I could not find that function to remove the automatic redirect anywhere so I really appreciate your help with this.
The only question I have is do you know if there is any easy way to add the custom event ticket fields on the main product page? What I mean by that is you can add custom fields to an event ticket and when you are on an event page you add the number of attendees and there is a that custom field option for each attendee. Do you know how I can add that functionality to the product page?

KeymasterHi Cordes,
I’m glad that helped! There is not an out-of-the-box way to add the custom attendee fields to the WooCommerce product page…you could do this with a customization, but this would likely be on the complicated side. If you would like to have the code done for you, we do have a list of recommended developers that you could contact.
If this is a feature you would like to see added in the future, we’d love it if you could post the idea in our Feature Ideas Forum! We use it to gauge user interest in new features and help plan future development.
I’m sorry that I don’t have a more straightforward solution here, but please let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer
