GuestHi,
1. I’m building an event page and have several owner ID’s. After I insert them on the correct field to import will your plugin search for their events and then import them?
2. Is there a limit for the number of owner ID’s to have in the backoffice? If yes, what’s the limit?
3. When a owner ID is scanned again to find events it will not duplicate already imported events, correct?
Thank you! Afonso

MemberHi Alfonso,
Thanks for reaching out to us and for your interest in our products 🙂
I’m afraid I’m not sure about what you mean by owner ID’s, which makes it pretty difficult to answers your questions. Can you elaborate a bit on that? Are you referring to event creators?
Please let me know about it,

GuestHi Nico,
Sure: an event has a ‘owner’ (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api/reference/event/) – which is an ID.
I work with IDs rather than page names/urls but it’s the same.Example:
The page with this ‘owner’ ID (134034323276062) has this page http://www.facebook.com/134034323276062 and this events http://www.facebook.com/134034323276062/eventsThis ‘event’ ID 1691800051088825 belongs to the ‘owner’ above (www.facebook.com/1691800051088825)
So, to clarify, I can say that a owner ID represents a FB page.
Hope that I made myself clear… 🙂
Thank you!

MemberThanks for clarifying!

Yes, we have an add-on for this: Facebook Events, please check the deails on the product page.
2. Is there a limit for the number of owner ID’s to have in the backoffice? If yes, what’s the limit?
No, there’s no limit. But please note that adding lot’s of Facebook pages will cause the importer to work slower and ultimately timeout. This depends on how many pages you are importing from and also the server/hosting plan you site is in. We currently have som tickets in our backlog to make this more scalable!
3. When a owner ID is scanned again to find events it will not duplicate already imported events, correct?
Yeap, the importer won’t duplicate already imported events 🙂
Maybe the best way to see if the plugin works for you is giving it a try. While we don’t have a trial period, you can go ahead and purchase the products for testing. If you decide they are not what you are looking for, you can ask for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. For more information take a look at our refund policy.

Can you detail a bit more with some importation limit numbers you’ve achieved and where the server timeout?
I now it is very vague and depends a lot on each installation/hosting but some number would be great.
I’m doing it on a VPS so I can tweak it up to some point but need to understand what my options are.Thank you! Afonso

MemberThanks for the follow-up Afonso!
Indeed it’s a vague situation. Just to give you an estimate off the top of my head I would say, from 0-40 you should be fine, from 40-75 might need to extend timeout time and from from 75-100 it might need some more tweaks (maybe more memory and more timeout time) or it will fail.
Does this sound good to you? Or seems to be a limitation?

GuestHi Nico,
Definitively is a limitation as it is an aggregation of several hundreds (that will grow over time) of FB profiles.
Will try anyway and will change code to do it in batches.Thank you!
