    Hi,

I am evaluating functionality provided by Eventbrite with the Event Calendar Pro and Event Tickets Plus plug-ins before making a recommendation to a client on which product to go with. I need to check if some of the client’s requirements will be possible:

    1. Can the plug-in generate a name badge for the event attendee? Perhaps at the bottom of the confirmation email so they can print this part off? If so, what fields can be added to the badge?

    2. Once an event is sold out, can the plug-in start a waiting list i.e. capture emails of those interested in attending if a place becomes available?

    3. I understand additional fields are available to capture additional attendee information i.e. if I want to display multiple dates for an event or workstreams. If the booking is for more than 1 person, can the plug-in capture the additional information for each attendee?

    4. Can the plug-in generate reminder emails at a specified date prior to the event?

    5. Does the plug-in have the ability take Purchase Order numbers so that payment can be made by invoice?

    6. Does the plug-in generate PDF invoices?

    7. Can the plug-in accommodate group discounts? i.e book 10 or more places at a reduced unit price?

    8. Can the plug-in verify membership numbers and apply a membership discount?

    Thank you!

Hey there! Lots of really good questions here–let me see if I can’t help to address your concerns with these! 🙂

    1. While we don’t have out-of-the-box support for generating name badges within Event Tickets or Event Tickets Plus, we do offer robust templating features that will let you hook into a variety of plugin templates for custom modifications. Our Themer’s Guide has more information on this; if you’d like to append a badge to each outgoing confirmation email, you’ll likely want to take a look at the tickets/email.php template file.
    2. We don’t currently support waitlisting functionality with any of our plugins, but you’re more than welcome to cast your vote to have this as a feature addition for a future product update! In the meantime, many of our customers have taken advantage of Event Tickets’ built-in “RSVP” functionality to generate a separate “Waitlist” ticket; you can read more about this potential solution at the provided link.
    3. Depending upon your needs, you may be able to add optional Attendee Information fields with Event Tickets Plus for orders that cover multiple persons. You can read more about the Attendee Information option here!
    4. This feature is slated for an upcoming release, but I’m afraid I can’t give you an estimate on how soon it will be available to our users! In the meantime, there are several third-party extensions available through WooCommerce that may accomplish what you’re looking to do. Reminder emails are already supported through Eventbrite, if you should decide to sell your tickets through that platform.
    5. If you’d like to have tickets reserved but paid for outside of the payment channels provided by WooCommerce or Eventbrite, you might consider setting up a custom “RSVP” ticket type for purchase orders so that customers purchasing this ticket type can be invoiced separately! You can even use global stock if needed to ensure that these tickets come from the same pool as other ticket types–this can be important if you’re capping the number of ticket sales per event.
    6. We don’t currently support direct invoicing through Event Tickets Plus; however, if your ticket sales are handled by WooCommerce, you may have success working with an invoicing extension developed for that plugin!
    7. This feature would be handled by the payment processor you’re pairing with Event Tickets Plus–both Eventbrite and WooCommerce support a variety of discount options, either out-of-the-box or through the use of extensions.
    8. We don’t have this functionality baked into our plugins, but this WooCommerce extension may work well for your needs! https://www.woothemes.com/products/woocommerce-memberships/

I hope that helps a bit to convey what our plugins are capable of straight out of the box! If you have any concerns, please know that we do offer a great 30-day return policy on all of our premium offerings–you’re more than welcome to try as many of our products as you’d like, take advantage of our dedicated support resources, and evaluate our plugins directly for your clients’ needs. We hope you’ll find they’re a great fit for your purposes, but we’re happy to refund your purchase price at any time within our 30-day return window if it just doesn’t work out for whatever reason.

Thanks again for reaching out, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions!
