Hi, we have recently purchased a number of your products (Event Calendar Pro and Event Ticket Plus) for a new initiative we are launching. We have however had a requirement which we thought may have been included, which was to ensure that the organisers of an event get a notification of any bookings that have been made. We are expecting to have between 500 and 800 events and due to no automated email being sent when a booking is confirmed and no automated attendance sheet being sent, we would need someone to send the attendance sheets manually to the organisers at regular intervals, which would be very time consuming. I have looked on the forums and am aware of a number of people asking for the same feature, but understand that the only viable option is to purchase the Community Tickets add-on? If this is the case I understand we would also need to purchase the Community Events add-on as well? We however would not benefit from this add-on, because our organisers will not be adding or submitting events via this method.
My question therefore is this correct and our only viable option?
Also if we did buy the add-ons and do not use the Community Event features, does the community ticket add-on permit organisers to check the booking status of the events relevant to them?
Kind Regards and thank you in advance

Hi Simon. Thanks for your business!

If I’m understanding you fully, yes, you’d want Community Events if:

    • you want your site users to be able to publish/create/edit events
    • you want to use Community Tickets (event authors create/sell their own tickets)
    • you want your site users to see their own Attendees/Ticket Sales reports, like this

You might want to check out our Community Manager or Ultimate Bundles to possibly save you some money!

Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

Cliff, thank you very much for your response and assistance. I was not aware of the bundle option, and have today opted to purchase that – and have requested a refund for the modules I have now purchased twice 🙂

Having configured WooCommerce, Community Event and Community Ticket I now have a few other questions:

    1) From the screen shot you have shown me, there is a report section on the Event List screen. However I am not seeing this option for some reason, is this a setting?

    2) We will be creating events on behalf of the organisers (they will not be added them themselves). Presumably we will then need to create Subscriber user accounts for our organisers? Is there a way to then link the account created to the organiser, so that they can only view the events relevant to them?

    3) I have added the Woocommerce plugin, but all of our tickets will be free. For our purposes the RSVP functionality in your Event Ticket product is adequate for our needs. Can the report and attendance information on the Community list screen allow our organisers to view bookings that have been done via RSVP?

    Thanks again in advance

Simon, I’m glad the Bundles (which are a recent offering) worked for you!

    1. After a user creates an event via the Community Events front-end form, they’ll be able to click “My Events” to see the screenshot I provided.
    2. It’s important to recognize that “Events”, “Organizers”, and “Venues” are terms used by our plugins to describe things.
      1. To be clear, your site user who creates a new event on your calendar may be the event’s organizer in real life, but on your website, an Organizer is used more in a categorical way.
      2. Example: Sally the yoga instructor creates a new Event via the Community Events front-end form. When filling out that form, she enters “Sally Smith of Flexy Studio” as the Organizer Name and her office telephone number as the Organizer phone number and her office address as the Organizer address.
      3. However, in her WordPress user profile, she enters her information as: Sally Smith, personal mobile telephone number, with home address.
    3. If I’m understanding your question fully, yes.

Of course, with any complex site setup like this, please do thorough testing to make sure everything’s working how you want it to.

If you have any other questions, please create new tickets in the appropriate forum.

    Thanks again!
