GuestI am starting a venue that will have late night bands, some starting after midnight, and need to find a calendar capable of displaying bands that start after midnight at the end of the same days events, even though technically it is starting early in the morning of the next day. In other words, I have band #1 starting at 9pm on Monday night, and band #2 starting at 1am that same evening, I will need the events on Monday to display Band #1 at 9pm and then band #2 at 1am. We do not want band #2 to show up at all on Tuesday. Is this possible to do?
Thanks,

MemberHi,
Thanks for the interest in our plugins. I can answer your questions.
We have a setting called End of day cutoff
Let’s say you have an event that runs from 6 pm on Friday until 2 am on Saturday; technically, that’s a Friday & Saturday event — but to readers on the frontend, and for all intents & purposes, it’s a Friday night event that runs long. This is where the end of day cutoff comes into play; if you set the dropdown here to 2:30 a.m., for example, your Friday-Saturday event would only show on Friday in relevant views.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Thanks

GuestYes I understand that, but that doesn’t answer my specific question. What if the Event starts on Saturday morning at 1am? We want this event to show on Friday, late night, not Saturday. Is this possible? Any late night venue with bands starting after midnight would want the calendar to show the band to start on the previous day/night in the calendar control…

MemberYes, it should show if you have the End of Day Cut Off Set to 2am and start the event at 1am it will show as being on both days.
You can try it out on the core version of the Events Calendar found for free on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/

GuestIt will show on both days? I’m not sure you are understanding what we need and the purpose of it. We wouldn’t want it to show on both days, just on Friday in my example above. We would not want it to also show it on Saturday early morning. Is this possible to achieve?

MemberHi,
I am letting you know how the plugin works.
If you would like it to work a different way that could be possible with a customization, but that is beyond the support we can provide per our terms and conditions.
Thanks
