GuestHi there, I’m a volunteer working with a local community organization that’s helping refugees and immigrants, among other groups. We haven’t yet formed a 501(c)4 – we can’t be a 501(c)3 as our activities include political advocacy on behalf of communities at risk. Would you be willing to offer such a group a discount through your nonprofit partnership program before (or after) we incorporate?
In either case, I’m also deciding on what add-ons we might need, if any. We’re looking for the ability to:
- show a widget (that meshes with our design) with upcoming events, only showing events that have been tagged with a certain category
- to aggregate events from facebook, google calendar, or an iCal RSS feed
- filter events by category on the main calendar
What would you recommend?
Thank you!

MemberHi there,
Thanks so much for reaching out–we’re thrilled to hear that you’re considering the use of our products for your organization! We’d be more than glad to consider the inclusion of a 501(c)4 group into our nonprofit partnership program. Once your proof of 501(c)4 status is ready to submit, you can find more information as well as our application link on our Knowledgebase here. Let us know if you should have any questions about the program that aren’t answered there!
Regarding your listed needs here, I’d suggest submitting your application for Events Calendar PRO, which includes the upcoming event widget with support for category-specific filtering, as well as support for category filtering on main calendar views. You can then add on Event Aggregator for importing events from external sources such as Facebook or Google. This plugin isn’t provided for free to nonprofit partners, but accepted nonprofits can purchase any additional add-ons they need at a significant discount. 🙂
I hope that helps to get you started here! Thanks so much again, and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you should have any other questions!
