Daniel
ParticipantHi I am having exactly the same problem as this previous closed topic https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/eventbrite-plugin-creating-tickets-in-usd-not-gbp/
(topic since closed)I have applied the fix, to change the currency from USD to GBP, however events that are created on the website are still being created in USD on eventbrite.co.uk.
Do you know if anyone else has managed to fix this issue?

MemberHi Daniel, just to ensure it is the same problem: can you confirm that your account (with Eventbrite) is set up such that Pounds Sterling is the default currency?

ParticipantHi Barry, Yes that’s right. The currency defaults to GBP when I create an event on EventBrite itself. The account is on eventbrite.co.uk also. I can’t seem to see anywhere within the EventBrite settings where the default currency is explicitly set though?

MemberOK – just checking in with the rest of the team.
Possibly this is a bug (we never received any feedback for the fix we proposed in the other thread you referenced) and if so we’ll do our best to investigate and fix substantively.

MemberHi Daniel – our developer Paul is looking into this as I write. If you can bear with us for possibly a day or two more I’ll endeavour to update you with his findings.

MemberOK, try adding this snippet to your theme’s functions.php file:
https://gist.github.com/4678437
Note that you’ll need to edit it slightly and insert the proper three letter abbreviation in place of EUR … I suspect it’s simply GBP for Pounds Sterling but you’ll probably know better than I.
If you’re able to give that a go it would be great to hear back from you as to whether it was successful or not 🙂

ParticipantThanks for this, I’ve tested this and can confirm that this works perfectly.
If anyone else needs to use this in Pound Sterling, the currency code is GBP.
Really appreciate your fast response on this one and great solution. I’m sure it will be useful for others using the plugin from other countries. Many thanks.January 31, 2013 at 6:59 am #31862Barry
