GuestHi, I have a client whose site must run on a server with PHP_Safe_Mode enabled. (No chance whatsoever we can change that, unfortunately.) The Events Calendar works find, but I noticed that the Pro version comes with an ajax-calendar viewer. I’ve run into issues with Ajax and PHP_Safe_Mode in the past – can you tell me if you’ve run into that? And/or is there a way to turn off the Ajaxification of the calendar if it isn’t working on our server? I saw that there’s no refund if I purchase and it doesn’t work, so I need to know up front. We’d really like the recurring-events functionality.
thanks!

MemberHi Michelle,
Thanks for your interest. I doubled checked this with a co-worker and I believe that this should not be a problem for you with Events Calendar PRO. The current version (2.0.11) does not allow Ajax to be turned off, but our upcoming version 3.0 will have some Ajax limiting available. However, as I said this will likely not be an issue at all.
Additionally, though I really appreciate your thorough reading of our refund policies, in this case we will provide a refund if you purchase PRO and run into a conflict with Ajax and PHP Safe Mode. In that case, just send me an email at [email protected] and I’d be happy to help out.
Does that answer your question? Let me know if I can help with anything else.
Cheers,

GuestFantastic! And thanks for the fast reply!
This might be off-topic but can the PRO version have specific category’s calendars embedded in different pages on a site? For instance I want to have a Seminars page with some page-specific text and then below that embed the Calendar view of just events in the Seminars category. Thanks again!

MemberGood question. That’s definitely not something that’s built in- it would require some customization on your part, and I’m not sure how much it would entail. I recommend poking around in the PRO forum to see if anyone has done something like that. Once you have a PRO license, you can post there yourself and we’ll do our best to get you on the right track. Sorry I can’t be more definitive.
